No fireworks on school grounds

Due to fire risk and the presence of construction material and equipment at some schools, fireworks will not be permitted on Vancouver Public Schools’ grounds and parking lots this summer.

Vancouver educator honored

The Washington Association of School Administrators today presented the 2016 Robert J. Handy Most Effective Administrator Award to Thomas R. Hagley, Jr., chief of staff.

Grant will help provide space for reduced class sizes

Vancouver Public Schools was selected to receive a $43 million grant from the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction. The grant will be used to build and expand classrooms to make kindergarten through third-grade class sizes smaller.
