Athletics

Athletics are a fun way for students to learn sportsmanship and get exercise. Girls and boys in fourth and fifth grades can participate in Fall volleyball, Winter basketball and Spring track at Chinook.

Choir

The Chinook choir, led by music teacher Loralie Ahola, performs at school functions and community events. For students in third through fifth grades, the choir practices once per week after school from October to June. For more information, please email Loralie Ahola or call 360-313-1600.

Safety patrol

Chinook fifth-graders have an opportunity to show their responsibility and leadership as members of the school safety patrol. Working with adults, the safety patrol helps students and parents safely cross nearby streets before and after school. Interested students may apply with Mrs. Wile.

Student leadership team

Chinook fourth- and fifth-graders are eligible to participate in our student leadership team. This team of motivated girls and boys provides valuable input on how to make our school an even better place. The team, which meets every other week at lunch, also assists in facilitating our school-wide behavior fairs, coordinating school spirit activities and leading school-wide fundraisers.
