The Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) partners with the State Board of Education (SBE) and Educational Opportunity Gap Oversight and Accountability Committee (EOGOAC) to identify and recognize schools for the Washington School Recognition Program.
Congratulations to the following VPS schools, which were recognized for having at least one student group show growth in areas including attendance, math and English language arts proficiency, and English language learner progress:
- Salmon Creek Elementary
- Eisenhower Elementary
- Chinook Elementary School
- Felida Elementary
- Franklin Elementary
Other schools that were honored have closed gaps, experienced growth in at least one student group, or demonstrated high performance in attendance, assessments, graduation rates, and more. Complete details about the program criteria are available on the Board of Education website.
